How to use the Azure Virtual Desktop / Remote Desktop.
To use Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), follow these steps:
- Prerequisites:
- Ensure you have internet access.
- Use a device running one of the supported Windows versions: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows Server 2022, or Windows Server 2019.
- Install .NET Framework 4.6.2 or later if needed.
- Choose Your Client:
- Remote Desktop client (MSI): Download and install the standalone MSI installer. This is the most common version for Windows.
- Azure Virtual Desktop app from the Microsoft Store: A preview version available in the Store.
- Remote Desktop app from the Microsoft Store: No longer actively developed.
- Connect to AVD:
- Use the Remote Desktop client to connect to AVD.
- Subscribe to a feed provided by your organization administrators.
